There is always something magical about turning simple acts into cherished traditions. From the clothes we wear to the cosy homes we live in each choice holds a gem beyond the present moment.

Among these enchanting customs, recipes took centre stage. Passed down through generations or shared by newfound friends, these culinary blends hold the essence of the families they represent. From delicious bread and scrumptious Majboos to the secret ingredient in a perfect cup of karak, perhaps a home remedy for a runny nose, they all form part of a legacy.&nbsp;

These recipes offered a special opportunity that the Museum of Islamic Art embraced. During workshops, children are given the chance to contribute a recipe of their choosing. Sketched on paper, these recipes were bound together for years to come. And so, in the heart of this charming activity, the magic of sharing and preserving simple traditions thrived, making it a moment worth treasuring. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Across the globe, birds have always been admired by those who roamed the land. From their cozy homes to the vast open skies, their beauty captivated all who gazed upon them.&nbsp;

Among these remarkable creatures stood the majestic falcon, cherished and respected for centuries. The falcon was admired by many, including the esteemed Moghuls, who hailed it as a bird fit for royalty.

In a workshop nestled in Northern India, skilled artisans crafted a masterpiece - a golden falcon. Worn with precious table-cut rubies, diamonds, sapphires, onyx and emeralds, this exquisite creation paid homage to the falcon and those who cherished its magnificence. It stood as a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship of India, a glistening tribute to the beauty of nature&#39;s noble hunter.&nbsp;

The Gold Falcon is just one of many pieces on show at MIA that make up the largest collection of Islamic artefacts from across the world.
