There is always something magical about turning simple acts into cherished traditions. From the clothes we wear to the cosy homes we live in each choice holds a gem beyond the present moment.

Among these enchanting customs, recipes took centre stage. Passed down through generations or shared by newfound friends, these culinary blends hold the essence of the families they represent. From delicious bread and scrumptious Majboos to the secret ingredient in a perfect cup of karak, perhaps a home remedy for a runny nose, they all form part of a legacy.

These recipes offered a special opportunity that the Museum of Islamic Art embraced. During workshops, children are given the chance to contribute a recipe of their choosing. Sketched on paper, these recipes were bound together for years to come. And so, in the heart of this charming activity, the magic of sharing and preserving simple traditions thrived, making it a moment worth treasuring.
